- The mine „Putilovskoe“ in Donezk/Ukraine expires. In the shafts, there is no more electrical light, the steps are trodden, the alarm system is dead. Since the Orange Revolution in 2004 the situation has deteriorated once again. The pro-Russian investor was afraid of the europhile policy of the new president Julija Tymoschenko and annulled the contract. For one year the miners were not paid off. Nevertheless, they went down the pit and shoveled coal.

Seit der Orangenen Revolution 2004 hat sich die Lage noch einmal verschlechtert. Der prorussische Investor fürchtete die europafreundliche Politik der neuen Präsidentin Julija Tymoschenko und zog sich zurück. Ein Jahr lang wurden die Kumpels nicht ausbezahlt. Sie gingen trotzdem unter Tage und schaufelten Kohle.
